1. Dangers related to credit disputes in the mortgage process

* Potential borrowers may question points regarding their thinking it will help their creditworthiness.

– While this is true, your credit score may increase significantly, but it is not accurate and does not guarantee an accurate credit history
– The credit reporting agency must mark this item in bold as “consumer disputes” or something similar
– In this case, the client will have to wait for the dispute to be resolved and put off house ownership plans
– To prevent this from happening, track what is reported on your credit report and if you have any inaccurate items fix them before going through the home buying process
– Online tools like Credit Karma are good for alerting you when something is reported in your account and it’s free
– In addition, discover.com provides non-customers with a free FICO score

2. Borderline borrowers

* What if the borrower has a credit score of 580 and pending credit disputes.

Common sense says resolving these credit disputes will not make the borrower eligible for a 3.5% FHA Home Loans advance
– Chances that your credit score will drop after the dispute is recovered, especially if the disputed tradeline is an offensive trade line recently

– If a consumer disputes a late payment, he or she will pay less than $ 1,000 of the outstanding balance
