Lexus Hits Trees, Rolls Over, Passenger Deceased / Belt Parkway Brooklyn 4K 9.7.21
9.7.21 | by Adam | FORT HAMILTON, Brooklyn (NYPD) On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at approximately 0117 hours police responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision on the westbound Belt Parkway near exit 2, within the confines of the 68 Precinct. Upon arrival police observed a 19-year-old male with head and body trauma. EMS also responded and transported the male to NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn, where he was pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation determined that the 19-year-old male was the rear passenger inside of a 2018 Lexus RX350 that was traveling westbound on the Belt Parkway. The 18-year-old male operator of the vehicle failed to navigate a curve in the roadway, entered the grass shoulder and struck several trees, resulting in the vehicle rolling over multiple times. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side. The operator of the vehicle and the front passenger of the vehicle, a 19-year-old male, were treated for minor injuries. The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
