Capital one produced their rules that state that they can have a 3rd party represent them as a collector. Have you ever seen that?

I’m just now watching this and it was very enlightening. I appreciate your truth and information. Here in Missouri I have won a couple of cases against the credit companies for Mia information and won quite a few thousand. How do I remove charge offs and are they the same as write offs?

When trying to get late payments removed on an active account, if it cannot be verified by the bureaus, do they remove that late payment and show on time payment for that month, show no information available for that month, or delete that account off the credit report? I want to get my late payment history corrected but not sure how disputing with the credit bureaus affects the active account if they cannot verify the information to be accurate, I wouldn't have been able to take them off if not me meeting U̬̤̯N̬̤̯I̬̤̯V̬̤̯E̬̤̯R̬̤̯S̬̤̯A̬̤̯L̬̤̯C̬̤̯R̬̤̯E̬̤̯D̬̤̯I̬̤̯T̬̤̯S̬̤̯O̬̤̯L̬̤̯U̬̤̯T̬̤̯I̬̤̯O̬̤̯N̬̤̯S̬̤̯ . Hi Sherry. I have a MC from what’s seems to be an urgent care visit. For whatever reasons the Urgentcare didn’t submitted to the right insurance. I found out 3 years later when receiving a MC from a collections company regarding that bill.
I sent them 2 validation letters without response, now over 3 months. I also read about the the statue of debt limitations and as I’m a NH resident the 3 years has already passed from the original debt of the urgent care visit in 2017.
What should I do now that must work better for my side?

  13. Tiffany Warren says:

thank you for all of your info, Sherry..

  14. Miss Bayonne says:

What does one do if they have debt that has been in collections for a few months because of a credit card bill but I still want to have a bank account with that bank ? Would I be able to still have an account there?

  15. MARAQLI VİDEOLAR DÜNYASI says:

VERY well done ! I say this with 40+ years in mortgage finance & banking working with credit bureaus. Different models and parameters are used by different industries but this name below info is pretty much universal. If you're trying to max your credit scores, there is a happy medium between too many credit cards and none. Too many cards with zero balnce may actually hurt you in some cases. Even if you do not use them, you have a potential. To always pay cash & still have cards doesn't help your scores as well

  16. Sasha Clarke says:

What if it's a cellphone bill of $1,788?! It's in collection's for over a year and, I've been advised to pay it, before even thinking of applying for a home loan!

Lastly, thank you for all of your info, Sherry…

  17. 365sugar says:

    Good morning Sherri,
I'm dealing with the original creditor. How can I get them removed from my credit report.? They have lied about the last payment which has extended the time of stay on my credit report. What can do?

  18. Zeatta Jackson says:

Hello. I’ve been paying a monthly amount to a closed Amex and Discover card. I knew I shouldn’t have agreed to it. Should I stop paying them?

  19. Emir Aslan says:

Good evening. I used a credit repair company to clean up some disputes on my report back in January with dispute letters. One collection company for a consumer debt sent me a copy of the bill and a letter only stating the date they purchased the debt. No real proof. I instantly fired the credit repair company cause I felt they left it like that so I could continue to pay them. Being that this was done in January, should I resend another validation letter and start over OR since I still have their response I could just send the dispute letter and call and try and speak to their legal dept?

  22. Kimberly Martin says:

I have a quick question what do you do if you have already payed those collections but they still remain on your report. Would you be able to dispute them and get them removed? Also what if some of those paid collections were for medical bills? Would I be able to dispute those since it was a medical bill collection? I wish I had seen your videos a year ago before I paid my collections thinking it would boost my credit, which it didn’t I still am suffering from collections being on my report and the delinquency associated with them.

  23. J Bubs says:

Sharp & wise thank you Ma'am

  24. Srey Phon-Thill says:

Tfs this video! This is so informative. But what if I ignore those letters from the collection agency? Do I still send the debt validation letter to them?

  25. Yolanda Tate says:

I have two collections coming off in 2024 should I try and get them removed

  26. ferhad oyunda !! says:

i had my records expunged . Between the ages of 18 to 21 I got arrested a bunch of times. When I cleaned up my act I got my records expunged using these organization It's a very wise thing to do. The peace of mind knowing your record is clean is well worth it . It helped when finding a job as well.

  27. Jessica Coppolo says:

Hi Sherry! Thank you for all that you do…you've helped so many people it seems! Do the credit validation letters have to be handwritten or can they be typed? Also, can they disregard standardized letters? These are the "myths" I keep hearing…thanks!
