I just applied for chase freedom flex after 6 months of my first discover secured card. I got denied. I’m worried it will hurt my credit score pretty bad since I’m so new. Should I wait 2 years for that hard inquiry to go away before looking for a new card? Or should I wait another 6 months, I’d like to build my base sooner than later

I have Chase Freedom Unlimited and I just made 6 months with it, I applied for a Discover It Cash Back card and I got a hard inquiry. My score went from 693 to 690, was it a good move? I had 5 and with this card I’m guessing I have 6 now, is that bad?

I applied for two credit cards recently and my score dropped by 74 points I almost passed out when I saw it. I thought inquiries take about 5 to 10 points but I do have a thin file so maybe that's why. Hopefully, the score will increase somewhat by October.

Will experian boost really help boost your credit score by reporting your utility and your cell phone payment? Also I co signed for my grandaughter a care last year and she paid it off and it says accounts closed will that effect my score as well.

I pay all my cards off on time. I applied for chase business card was denied because not having a bank account with them or business history since sole business owner. I didn't know this until after applying for 2nd chase card in 2 days. So on the 3rd day applied for marriot personal card. Was denied. Forgot I was at 5/24. 4th day I applied for Citi thank you card denied because of 2 many inquiries. Talk with reconsideration line. Said bank policy said I had 2 many inquiries
I asked how much is 2 much. Wouldn't say. Also explain the 3 cards they didn't care. What to do?

2 were 4 years old each
    1 about,1 year and a half.
Then I applied for best buy card on 07/01/19 got approved
later on 12/01/19 I applied for Chase prime got approved.
I never knew my score up until this point.
    On 02/01/20
I apply for 2 more credit cards the same day.
    1 capital one savor
    2 Amex Blue cash preferred
    both got approved.
Amex sent me an envelope saying they approved me with my score being 750 as of 02/01/20
    Last I applied on 04/15/20
    for Chase freedom.
Amex tells me on their app that my score as of 04/04/20 is
That's before the freedom card at 04/15/20
I wonder what my score might be now?

  27. Jose Joaquin Gonzalez says:

Why did mine drop 32 points due to one hard inquiry? It was at 706, and went to 674. That really bummed me out. I did it because of this video, you said 1-5, I believed you, what was unfortunate to I didn’t get approved. I don’t blame you. But 32 points. May you give me an explanation to why this can be?

  28. Raftika says:

My credit score was at 775 and now it’s at 769 and have only had one hard inquiry because I applied for a new credit card last year. After hearing this I am probably going to open up another credit card soon since you mentioned that FHA would prefer we have 3 credit lines opened with a good history behind them like paying them off in full and on time. I’m 22 and should probably get a third credit card with a good history so I can apply for a mortgage in the near future

  29. Raftika says:

0:25 what do you mean by that? Elaborate please

  30. Shay Kashif says:

So I want to raise my credit limit to minimize my credit utilization. But I’m also planning on paying off my car at the end of the year.
Is it worth raising my credit limit to get a higher credit score to buy a car and apply for a loan by December.
