BEFORE disputing information on your credit reports with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, contact these 8 consumer reporting agencies and have them freeze/suppress their files on you so that the 3 credit bureaus have a hard time confirming or getting information about you.

AFTER receiving confirmation from the 8 agencies (OR AT LEAST THE FIRST 4 LISTED) that they have frozen their files on you, THEN start your dispute process with each of the 3 credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion).

Thanks so much for this information. But after all the disputes and your credit report is clear ,can you apply for new credit with all of these agencies still in a frozen status.

Don't forget – every parent should freeze the credit reports of their children with all three bureaus. Check out for an easy way to get the credit freeze done for a child. It's much harder to do for a child than for yourself and Credit Parent makes it real easy.
