Midland changed what they were reporting on my report. It used to say open account. I disputed it. They changed it.

I called one of the bureaus and they wouldn’t remove an old address because it was attached to an old account. Can anyone give some advise?

Thank you for the information! I love the videos! I have one question though, do I send the removal of incorrect personal information with the first round disputes or should I send the letter to correct personal information, then once corrected send first round letters with the disputes once the personal information comes back as corrected? Thanks for the information!

At the end of the day, disputing your credit report is not an easy process.

"In reality, it is really, really, really hard to fix your credit report," said Ira Rheingold, executive director of the National Association of Consumer Advocates.

That's because the credit reporting system wasn't built for the benefit of consumers. It was built for the companies that use it, he explained.

"There is nothing about our credit reporting system that makes it easy for consumers, friendly to consumers or helpful to consumers," Rheingold said.

A third of Americans found errors on their credit reports. Here's how to fix those mistakes

  10. Anthony Rose says:

Thanks good information but the credit bureaus put the incorrect information about you, it’s not the hackers doing this it’s the credit bureaus doing actual harm on your reports. Totally unfair practice the credit bureaus are frauds. You would have to call the bureaus and ask for dispute department to get it off your reports. This is like a dog chasing it’s tails and the dog can’t do it. 1/3 of Americans have incorrect information on their reports. This is why you can’t get things done in life the credit bureaus are your enemy
