Interesting. I think I have this problem. I had a capital one credit card that got charged off in Dec 2018. It got sent off to a collection agency and then capital one bought the account back. I paid account off with capital one in Sept of 2019, but from Dec 2018 to Sept 2019 I have a charge off listed on each month until Sept 2019, so 10 in total. Is that legal? I would assume that I would only have one charge off (Dec 2018). Not 10 charge offs on account. I dispute these inaccuracies with the credit bureaus, and they verified it as accurate. What should I do next?

I got a question, I disputed (via online) a 4 year old charged off auto loan from 3 of the bureaus and it was removed from transunion and equifax but not from experian, it seems theyre holding it hostage. I'm not really sure what to do..should i write a hand written letter? I'm not sure what to dispute, They did leave an A off of my address does that work in my favor?

Thank you for the content and value. In your estimation, how long does it typically take to get a charge off removed from a credit report? I have been working with a company for 5 months now and Lexington for 8 months prior to that. It seems like some credit repair companies have a really hard time with charge-off accounts and I can't make sense of it, especially when you make it sound easy.

  28. NERD PLANET says:

Charge-off's with balances, not been sold when everything across the board is all the same. The original creditor, company sold-to and original amount is blank. what can be done in those cases? not just accounts with no balances.
